Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to launch worldwide, including India, in January 2026.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is expected to make its official debut early next year. A fresh reference to the device was recently discovered within the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 build, hinting at new features such as a “Private Display.” Now, detailed leaks have surfaced online, pointing to upgrades in thermal control, a lighter frame, and faster charging speeds. According to a well-known tipster, the phone might finally support 60W wired fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Leaked Features
Tech analyst Jason C. (@_TheJasonC) posted on X that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could ship with a massive 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel. The display is expected to deliver higher brightness levels while being more power efficient. Globally, the handset might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, while some markets could get Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2600 chipset.
Software and Performance Upgrades
Out of the box, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to run Android 16 with the company’s One UI 8.5 skin. The smartphone is also rumoured to offer seven years of software updates, putting it in direct competition with other long-support devices. Memory options may start at 16GB RAM as standard, with internal storage going up to 1TB.
Camera Setup Details
The phone is reported to feature a 200-megapixel main camera with an “enhanced aperture,” improving low-light and detail performance. Alongside it, Samsung may pack a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. This triple-lens setup hints at a major focus on photography for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Fast Charging and New Features
Following the Galaxy S25 Ultra, this new flagship could arrive with several changes. The handset has been spotted in unfinished One UI 8.5 code with mentions of “Private Display” and “Privacy Display” features. On charging, the leak claims 60W wired support, a step up from the 45W on the S25 Ultra. However, a 3C certification in China listed the device with only 45W charging, leaving some confusion over its final specs.
Expected Launch Timeline
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to succeed this year’s Galaxy S25 Ultra and launch globally in January 2026. India is also likely to be among the first markets to receive the flagship. With premium hardware, longer update cycles, and faster charging, the device is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about releases of 2026.
