MVA and MNS will raise their voice today against voter list irregularities and alleged ‘vote theft.’ The alliance and MNS are set to march in Mumbai against the Election Commission.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will protest today (November 1) against the alleged voter list mess and ‘vote theft’. The MVA and MNS are taking out a march in Mumbai. This rally is named as ‘Satyacha Morcha’ (March for Truth). Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray, and Amit Thackeray will be present. The march targets the Commission’s irresponsible handling. It highlights ‘vote theft’, voter list irregularities, and election misconduct. The rally aims to reveal the truth to the public. The march begins at 1 PM from Fashion Street, Mumbai. It will proceed via Metro Cinema. It will halt at the Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s gate.
Raj Thackeray’s MNS Joins the MVA Morcha
Raj Thackeray’s MNS is also participating in the MVA’s March for Truth. MNS President Raj Thackeray himself will walk in the rally today. He plans to travel from Dadar to CSMT by local train. Raj Thackeray recently held a worker’s meeting at Rangsharada Auditorium. He gave a presentation on voting machines and voter list mess. He also appealed to Mumbaikars to join the march in large numbers.
What Are the Opposition’s Main Demands?
The opposition has made four key demands:
- Voter lists must be updated completely.
- Duplicate names in the voter list mess should be removed.
- Elections must be postponed until lists are updated.
- Voter registration must continue until November 7th.
What is the March Route?
The march will start at 1 PM from Fashion Street. It will move ahead towards Metro Cinema. Finally, it will head to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Headquarters. A stage is set up at the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Headquarters. Important leaders from every party will deliver speeches here. Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Balasaheb Thorat, and Jayant Patil (PWP) will speak. Other major leaders will also address the crowd.
This protest is against the State Election Commission’s functioning. The march is held because there was no satisfactory reply. This reply was sought despite giving proof of vote theft, duplicate voters, and voter list mess. The State Election Commission is announcing local body poll schedules. The opposition is firm on its stand. They demand no elections until voter lists are updated. They also want this entire mess completely resolved. There are reports of an official joint statement. All parties will present this official stand tomorrow. They will take this issue forward more aggressively.

Harshvardhan Sapkal and Nana Patole Maintain Distance
The opposition is uniting in Mumbai against the Commission. However, Congress state president Harshvardhan Sapkal and former president Nana Patole stayed away. Mumbai President Varsha Gaikwad is also unlikely to attend. Despite this, Congress’s Vijay Wadettiwar, Balasaheb Thorat, and Naseem Khan will be present. Congress has always opposed MNS’s inclusion in MVA. They fear MNS’s presence might hurt Congress in state elections like Bihar.
