RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav affirmed the Mahagathbandhan’s inclusive governance plan. The opposition alliance is committed to representing all sections ahead of the Bihar voting.

Inclusive Cabinet Strategy Unveiled
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav hinted at a diverse cabinet structure. He suggested multiple deputy chief ministers if the grand alliance wins power. These top posts would include a Muslim and a Dalit representative. Yadav, the Mahagathbandhan’s CM face, said they will address all community concerns. His remarks referenced Congress leader Ashok Gehlot’s previous suggestion. Mukesh Sahani’s deputy CM role was also mentioned. He confirmed a Muslim and a Dalit will definitely serve as deputy chief ministers.
Previous Remarks on Muslim Deputy CM
Yadav had earlier mentioned multiple deputy CMs, referencing Ashok Gehlot. He previously criticised the BJP for creating a controversy. This was regarding the opposition’s deputy chief minister choices. “The BJP has issues with a representative from EBC being declared a Deputy CM face. Their IT cell has been trolling us for not naming a representative from a community they would otherwise call infiltrators,” Tejashwi told HT in an interview last week.
He did not explicitly commit to a Muslim deputy CM then. However, Tejashwi stated, “We are not ruling out that possibility. Let’s wait and watch. It can be from any community.” Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot was instrumental in resolving seat-sharing issues. He downplayed “friendly contests” between alliance partners.
