Rahul Gandhi stated that the BJP ousted Nitish as CM because he was compromised and remained silent after moving to Rajya Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi attacks Nitish Kumar
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized former Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday. He called the JD(U) chief ‘compromised’ after his recent resignation. Gandhi alleged that Nitish’s past actions gave the BJP total control over him.
Speech at Tamil Nadu rally
Gandhi spoke at an election rally in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. He targeted Nitish, who is now a Rajya Sabha MP. He claimed the BJP removed Nitish as Chief Minister easily. Nitish stayed silent after being sent to the Rajya Sabha.
The Bihar political shift
Nitish resigned on April 14 after winning the Rajya Sabha polls. Without naming him directly, Gandhi addressed the recent Bihar events. He said, “Look at what has recently happened in Bihar. The chief minister of Bihar has been removed and a BJP man has been placed there. Why? Because of the chief minister of Bihar is compromised. He did not say a word and he silently went to Rajya Sabha.”
Warning for Tamil Nadu
Rahul expressed similar fears for the state of Tamil Nadu. He said the BJP seeks a government they can fully dominate. “Because his past deeds allowed BJP to control him completely. That is what they want to do here in Tamil Nadu. They want to have a government which they full control. They want a chief minister who does exactly what they say. And that is something we are never going to allow them to do,” Gandhi added.
Upcoming state elections
Tamil Nadu assembly elections will take place on April 23. The vote counting is set for May 4. The DMK alliance faces the AIADMK-led NDA. The BJP and PMK remain key allies in the NDA.
