Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra claims the BJP intends to steal votes. He stated they want to rig the election through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Dotasra affirmed, “But we will not let this happen.”

The Election Commission announced the second phase of SIR on Monday, October 27th. Rajasthan is one of the 12 states included in this new phase. Now, the State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra’s statement has emerged regarding this. He asserts that they will not permit vote theft in Rajasthan under the guise of the SIR.
Govind Singh Dotasra claimed the BJP government in Rajasthan delayed the election process. They first used delimitation and then the ‘One State One Election’ issue. He also mentioned the Rajasthan government’s written communication to the Election Commission. This letter stated that the local body and Panchayat Raj elections would happen in February. The SIR is being deliberately conducted in Rajasthan. This is to further postpone these crucial local elections.
‘Vote Theft is BJP’s Intention’
Dotasra further commented, “The voter list is frozen until February 7th. This means no local body or Panchayat Raj elections will take place until February 7, 2026. This is exactly the BJP’s goal and intention: to steal votes. They want to manipulate the process through the SIR. They are conducting the SIR in Rajasthan against the rules. They want to steal votes here before holding the local body and Panchayat Raj polls.”
‘Local-Panchayat Elections Handed to Bureaucracy’
The Rajasthan Congress Chief also criticized the state government. “The BJP in the state has handed the municipal and Panchayat Raj elections to the bureaucracy.” He added, “Until elections are held and the bodies are formed, the Central Government absolutely cannot release funds. This budget/fund cannot be issued to these local and Panchayat Rajasthan bodies.”
Counterattack on Education Minister Madan Dilawar
Govind Singh Dotasra also lashed out at Education Minister Madan Dilawar. This was concerning Dilawar’s statement about a uniform dress code for children in all schools. Dotasra said, “The RSS has only one agenda: create Hindu-Muslim divides. They want to spread communal tension under the cover of religion. And they appoint an Education Minister who avoids talk of education. Instead, this minister focuses on every other topic.”
