Many women missed the e-KYC deadline due to rain and network issues. The previous date was November 18, 2025.

The Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is a financial pillar for millions of women in Maharashtra. This scheme provides monthly financial aid to help women manage household and personal needs easily. However, a major issue has surfaced recently regarding this popular scheme. Many women have not completed their e-KYC, which creates a risk of stopping their installments. The government has clearly stated that women without completed e-KYC will not receive scheme money. Meanwhile, rain, natural disasters, and network glitches stopped many from finishing the process on time. The original deadline was November 18, 2025, but the government noticed the struggles of lakhs of women. Consequently, they extended the deadline to December 31, 2025. This decision brings relief, but a big question still remains for beneficiaries. Is your name on the list of women who still have pending e-KYC?
Why has the government made e-KYC mandatory?
The government wants to ensure the scheme money reaches the correct and eligible women only. There were many complaints received during the past few months regarding the application process. For instance, two applications were made under one name, or bank account details were filled incorrectly. Fake entries were also found in some places during the verification process. Therefore, confirming identity through Aadhaar has become essential to stop these irregularities. The government has explicitly said that money will not enter any account without e-KYC verification.
Is your e-KYC complete or not? Check this way
You can check if your e-KYC is done in seconds using your mobile phone. First, open the official portal at ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in. Click on the e-KYC option, enter your Aadhaar number, and fill in the captcha code. After this, click on Send OTP to receive a verification code on your phone. The system will show “e-KYC already completed” if everything is fine with your account. It might say “Aadhaar number is not in the eligible list” if you are not listed. Or it will say “Complete your e-KYC” if your process is still pending currently. The rules clearly state that the next installment will not come if e-KYC remains incomplete. The system will automatically move these beneficiaries to Pending or Inactive status. Therefore, completing e-KYC before December 31 is very important for everyone.
