Leaders Urge Citizens to Embrace Health, Wealth, and National Prosperity

Prime Minister’s Greetings

Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his greetings to the nation. He wished everyone well on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras on Saturday. PM Modi posted on X, “Heartfelt Dhanteras greetings to all my family members in the country.” He continued, “On this sacred occasion, I pray for everyone’s happiness, prosperity, and good health.” He wished that Lord Dhanvantari would “bestow his abundant blessings upon all.”

CM Yogi Adityanath’s Hopes for UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended greetings. He wished the people of the state happiness, prosperity, and good health. CM Yogi noted that the festival holds great significance. It represents both Dharma and Artha in the Hindu tradition. He highlighted that it also marks Lord Dhanvantari’s birth anniversary. CM Yogi expressed hope for strong economic growth in Uttar Pradesh.

The UP CMO posted on X about the Chief Minister’s wishes. They wrote, “UPCM @myogiadityanath has extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of the state on Dhanteras and wished for their happiness and prosperity.” The post quoted the Chief Minister. He said that Dhanteras “symbolises not only Dharma but also Artha” in the Hindu religion.

The post added that Dhanteras is also “the birth anniversary of Lord Dhanvantari, the deity of health.”

Focus on Health and Economic Growth

The CMO post further elaborated on the importance of health. “Happiness and prosperity can be achieved only through good health.” The statement continued with a wish for the state’s future. “May Lord Dhanvantari bring happiness and prosperity to the lives of all the people of the state, and I wish that Uttar Pradesh becomes established as the leading state economically,” the post concluded

Lok Sabha Speaker’s Message

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also shared his Dhanteras greetings. He encouraged all citizens to protect the environment and uphold social harmony. Birla posted his wishes on X. He wrote, “Heartfelt greetings to all fellow citizens on the auspicious arrival of Deepotsav festival Dhanteras.” He added a prayer for prosperity and health. “My wish is that with the blessings of Mother Lakshmi, every home is filled with prosperity, opulence, and radiance, and with the grace of Lord Dhanvantari, every individual remains healthy and long-lived.” He also urged national dedication. “Along with personal advancement, let us make our nation eternally glorious, protect the environment, and promote social harmony; with this resolve, auspicious Dhanteras.”

Significance of Dhanteras

Dhanteras is the first day of the Diwali festivities. It is an auspicious time for new purchases. The day is dedicated to worshipping Goddess Mahalakshmi and Lord Kuber. They are the deities of wealth and prosperity. People also worship Lord Ganesha, or Siddhi Vinayak, on this day. It also honours Dhanvantari, the god of Ayurveda. He is believed to have shared medical knowledge to cure human ailments. The celebration marks the beginning of Diwali on Monday. It is observed on the thirteenth lunar day of the dark fortnight in the Hindu calendar.
