Historic Januna Lake to be turned into a tourist center – Akash Fundkar

The Januna Lake tourism center project in Khamgaon will add modern facilities, cultural attractions, and eco-friendly features for visitors.

Khamgaon: The historic Januna Lake in the city will soon be developed as a tourist center and all modern facilities will be provided at this place, asserted Labour Minister Akash Fundkar. On Friday, the immersion ghat built on the banks of the lake at a cost of Rs 1 crore was inaugurated by him.

He was speaking on the occasion. Akash Fundkar said that, ‘To avoid inconvenience to the devotees during the immersion of the big idol during the Ganesh festival and to prevent accidents, all facilities like strong platforms, steps, ramps, paver blocks, rescue teams, Nirmalya Kundi, artificial ghats and lighting system for the night will be provided on this ghat. Along with providing safe and convenient arrangements to the citizens, the lake area will be transformed. immersion bridge Our resolve is to make it an attractive tourist destination.

Giving information on the occasion, Prashant Shelke, Chief Officer of the Municipal Council, said that the beautification of the lake area is underway on a large scale. In the coming days, facilities like a water park, boating, oxygen park, bird watching center and shramsafalya park will be set up here.

This initiative will provide Khamgaonkars with a great tourist center in the vicinity of nature and will add to the beauty of the city. This dedication The ceremony was attended by Shekhar Purohit, Rajendra Dhanokar, Pramod Agarwal, President of the esteemed Wooden Ganpati Sanstha Suraj Agarwal, Taluka Sports Officer Laxminarayan Yadav. The program was introduced by Umakant Kandekar.

The program was conducted by Yogesh Hazare and the vote of thanks was given by Sanjay Shingare. On this occasion, Thanedar Ramkrishna Pawar, Thanedar Surendra Ahirkar, office bearers of various Ganesh Mandals in the city, former corporators, citizens etc. were present in large numbers.
