A major fire broke out at Jain Pharma in Khamgaon, causing damages worth around ₹25 lakh. Firefighters rushed to the spot to control the blaze that erupted in the early hours of Sunday.

Khamgaon – A devastating fire broke out at the local Jain Pharma in Khamgaon early Sunday morning, resulting in an estimated loss of ₹25 lakh. The blaze required immediate intervention from the fire brigade to bring it under control.
Jain Pharma, owned by Mr. Shital Bhagchand Nahar and located near Natraj Garden in the city, caught fire unexpectedly in the early hours. On noticing the flames, nearby residents quickly informed Mr. Nahar, who in turn alerted the fire brigade and police. Firefighters promptly reached the site to extinguish the blaze.
The fire destroyed a large stock of medicines stored inside the pharmacy. Reports indicate that furniture and other goods were also gutted, leading to significant damage. The cause of the fire is suspected to be a short circuit. Secretary of Maharashtra Chemist and Druggist Association Anil Navandar visited the site to assess the situation.
Incidents of fire have caused substantial losses to businesses in the city in recent times. Just a few days ago, another fire broke out at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Commercial Complex, Infront of Municipal Council suffered major losses due to the blaze.
