Nirmalya collection and Ganesh idol immersion drive in Khamgaon promoted eco-friendly practices and environmental awareness under Ayyachi Kothi Ganesh Temple temple and Lions Club Khamgaon Sanskruti guidance.

Khamgaon – Shri Ganapati Mandir, Ayyachi Kothi and Lions Club Khamgaon Sanskruti jointly organized an eco-friendly Ganesh Visarjan initiative. The program included Nirmalya collection and idol immersion through a specially arranged vehicle.
The drive began on 6 September 2025 at 8 am. Volunteers collected flowers, garlands, and puja materials used in rituals. The project aimed to prevent pollution and raise awareness about protecting rivers, lakes, and other water bodies during Ganesh immersion.
Both organizations appealed to devotees to immerse idols only at designated places. They discouraged immersion in clean rivers and lakes to safeguard natural resources.
Lions Club has consistently promoted eco-friendly efforts like tree plantation, water conservation, and cleanliness campaigns. Members believe that environmental protection requires united participation from society.
Nirmalya collection and Ganesh idol immersion activity involved MJF Suraj M Agarwal, MJF Suraj B Agarwal, MJF Ajay M Agarwal, and Chetan Agarwal. Their efforts highlighted responsibility toward nature and faith.
This project reinforced the idea that festivals can be celebrated with devotion while maintaining balance with environmental sustainability.
