Khamgaon – The Lions Club Khamgaon Sanskruti arranged 500 food packets for police personnel on Ganesh Visarjan day. The initiative entered its fourth year, showing continued community support for police efforts.

During Ganesh immersion, lakhs of devotees gather across the city streets. Police ensure order, control traffic, and prevent untoward incidents. They also provide emergency help when required, protecting devotees and maintaining discipline during the grand procession.

To appreciate this dedication, Lions Club organized food distribution to police during Ganesh immersion on 6 September 2025. The event took place at 10:30 am near Chintamani Ganapati Temple, Mahakal Chowk.

The project was led by MJF Abhay Agarwal, Shailesh Sharma, and Nishikant Kango. Members expressed gratitude toward police forces who selflessly handle responsibilities during such large festivals.

Food distribution to police during Ganesh immersion reflects social responsibility. It also strengthens ties between citizens and law enforcement, encouraging mutual respect and cooperation.
