BJP Assures Eknath Shinde: No Inclusion of Shiv Sena Leaders Amidst Alliance Tensions

A major development emerges from Maharashtra politics. The reason behind the discontent of Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde’s ministers is now clear. A significant decision has been reached between Shiv Sena and the BJP to resolve this issue. Specifically, senior BJP leaders have guaranteed Eknath Shinde that no leader or worker from his party will join the BJP.
BJP’s Pledge Amidst Alliance Friction
This important news arrives amidst ongoing differences between Shiv Sena and the BJP. The BJP has asserted that no Shiv Sena worker will be inducted into the BJP. A meeting of senior Shiv Sena and BJP leaders will be held in the next two days to discuss this matter.
Devendra Fadnavis Assures Eknath Shinde
This meeting is scheduled before the Maharashtra civic body elections. The discussion will focus on resolving clashes within the ‘Mahayuti’ across different districts. Both leaders have given assurance that both parties will uphold the alliance dharma during the election period.
It is noteworthy that many workers from Thane, Kalyan Dombivli, and Palghar were planning to join the BJP. These areas are considered Eknath Shinde’s strongholds. The discontent over this issue led Eknath Shinde’s ministers to boycott the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s cabinet meeting.
Shiv Sena Ministers Skip Cabinet Meeting
While the cabinet meeting was underway, Shiv Sena ministers did not enter the meeting room. They chose to wait in CM Fadnavis’s office instead. Only Eknath Shinde attended the meeting. Following this, the Shiv Sena ministers met with CM Fadnavis. They subsequently explained the reason for their displeasure.
Outcome of Shiv Sena and BJP Discussions
After missing the meeting, Eknath Shinde’s ministers met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. They stated their anger regarding the inclusion of Shiv Sena leaders into the BJP. CM Fadnavis then explained that Shiv Sena itself started the process in Ulhasnagar. He questioned how it could be right if the Shinde faction did it but wrong if the BJP did.
After this, CM Fadnavis clearly stated a new rule. From now on, workers from one party will not be given entry into the other party. However, both parties must adhere to this rule. Shiv Sena and the BJP have reached a consensus on this important point.
