Imran Khan’s son stated his father has been detained for 845 days. He revealed that for the last six weeks, Khan has been kept in solitary confinement “in a death cell.”

Fears Rise for Imran Khan’s Safety
Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has been jailed for over two years. He has spent approximately 845 days behind bars. His family is barred from meeting him. No political leaders from his PTI party can meet him either. A late-night drama unfolded outside Pakistan’s Adiala Jail. Separately, a post from Imran Khan’s son stirred up the entire situation. As Qasim Khan’s message appeared on social media, anxiety spread across many parts of the country.
Qasim Khan lives in the UK. He posted on X that his father has been isolated for six weeks. Contact with anyone is not allowed. No information is given to the family. He wrote that he has “no proof of life” for his father. This statement caused a political storm. Qasim and his brother usually avoid politics. However, the current situation forced them to speak out openly.
Allegations of Hiding Imran Khan
Qasim believes this isolation is not for security. He calls it a deliberate plan to completely isolate his father. He alleges that Khan’s sisters were denied entry despite court orders. Lawyers were also not permitted to meet him. This secrecy adds more mystery to the entire case.
Pakistan Must Ensure Khan’s Security
Qasim appealed to the United Nations and global human rights groups. He also urged the world’s democratic governments to act. He asked them to pressure Pakistan to reveal Imran Khan’s true condition. He stated the Pakistani government would be directly responsible. This applies if anything unfortunate happens to Imran Khan.
Chief Minister Stages High-Voltage Drama
A high-voltage drama was seen late at night outside Adiala Jail. This jail is located in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Sohel Afridi is the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. He has been protesting outside Adiala Jail since yesterday evening. He wants to meet Imran Khan. Sohel Afridi stated the reason for his protest. He wants international media to see this situation. A Chief Minister is being denied a meeting with Imran Khan. This happens despite clear orders from the Supreme Court and High Courts.
Government and Jail Administration Respond
The government’s stance is completely different. The jail administration announced that Imran Khan faces no trouble. They claim Khan gets facilities not possible for regular prisoners. Pakistan’s Defence Minister even claimed this. He said Khan gets special food, a gym, and comfortable arrangements.
PTI Pressure Yields Results
The jail administration gave an assurance after prolonged tension. They agreed to allow a meeting with Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan. Other family members will also be allowed. The protest then became somewhat peaceful. Everyone’s attention is now focused on this upcoming meeting.
