Shina Ansari, the Environment Department Head, confirms ongoing global talks to get firefighting help for the Elit region in Chalous.

Turkey Sends Aerial Support
Ansari stated late Friday that Turkey is sending help. Two planes and one helicopter should arrive by Saturday. These aircraft will bring eight crew members. They will assist directly in putting out the blaze.
Locals Battle Persistent Flames
The fires began last week. They have hit large vegetation patches in the remote Elit area near Chalous. Local teams, volunteers, and residents are working hard. They are using helicopters to fight the fire day and night. Yet, the fire spread further. This created an urgent need for international help.
Mobilizing National Resources
First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref spoke out. He urged the use of all national resources. The goal is to control fires in the Hyrcanian forests.
Coordinating Strategies
Aref held talks with the Mazandaran governor. He also spoke to the disaster management chief. He stressed using local power. He wants different sectors to work together. This ensures a strong plan to fight the fire.
Current Damage Assessment
The fire has burned about eight hectares of forest. Thankfully, teams extinguished seven hectares. Aerial and ground operations made this possible. A small area is still burning. The rough terrain makes it hard to finish the job. Dry conditions are also a problem.
