Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech was strategically transmitted to Gaza. The military controlled residents’ and Hamas operators’ phones to broadcast the speech live.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Friday. During his address, he highlighted Israel’s determination to continue its operations against Hamas in Gaza. He also rejected any recognition of Palestine as an independent state.
This statement came despite increasing international pressure and repeated calls for a ceasefire. Israel made significant efforts to ensure Netanyahu’s speech reached Gaza, using multiple communication channels.

Military Used Loudspeakers and Mobile Phones for Broadcast
To transmit Netanyahu’s speech to Gaza, loudspeakers were mounted on trucks near the Gaza border. These devices broadcast his message to nearby areas. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the military also took control of mobile phones belonging to Gaza residents and Hamas operators to deliver Netanyahu’s speech directly and live to their devices. However, there is no confirmation from Gaza that residents actually received or heard the speech. This move has drawn criticism within Israel itself, with some military officials labeling it strategically pointless.
Key Points from Netanyahu’s Speech
Netanyahu emphasized that while some regional leaders may yield to pressure, Israel will remain firm. He urged Hamas to lay down arms and release hostages, warning that failure to comply would have consequences. Using a map during his speech, Netanyahu highlighted a region labeled “The Curse,” which included Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Yemen, depicting them as supporters of terrorism. Conversely, a region called “The Blessing” featured countries like India, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, representing Israel’s allies.
