RJD Leader Makes Major Promises
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is constantly announcing initiatives. These are in view of the upcoming Bihar elections. Today, Sunday (October 26), he made a significant promise. Tejashwi Yadav promised pension for Panchayat Representatives. He also promised a ₹50 lakh insurance cover. This will happen if the Mahagathbandhan gains power. This promise is for the Bihar assembly elections.
Bihar is Eager for Change
Tejashwi Yadav spoke at a press conference in Patna. He said the election campaign is now very fast. He stressed that Bihar is desperate for a change. He took a jab at the current Nitish Kumar government. He called it a “dilapidated government” for 20 years. He claimed people are now eager for a change. He mentioned large crowds are supporting him. These supporters belong to all castes and religions. People are fed up with the current government. They want to vote out the Bihar government. He accused the government of extreme corruption and crime. He asserted that people have understood the BJP’s motives.
Taking Aim at BJP and Nitish
He targeted the BJP and Amit Shah directly. Tejashwi alleged that they deliberately stopped factories in Bihar. He also highlighted his previous government’s work. He said much was achieved in 17 months. More work would have been done if “Chacha Ji” had not switched sides. Speaking about the alliance, he confirmed joint campaigning. He mentioned future campaigns with Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi. He stated that he has not harmed anyone. He claimed no one has any complaints against him. The public gave the last government 20 years. He said they are only asking for 20 months.
Doubling Honorarium for Panchayat Representatives
Tejashwi Yadav listed his government’s promises. He assured that the Panchayat Representatives honorarium will double. This will happen upon forming the government. Additionally, self-employment aid will be given. Goldsmiths, barbers, blacksmiths, and carpenters will get $5 lakh. This amount is a lump-sum for self-employment. Tejashwi also criticized the Modi government. He blamed them for the lack of industries in Bihar. He accused them of taking big factories and IT parks to Gujarat. He concluded that Bihar was only shown deceit and a cold shoulder. Panchayat Representatives are a key focus of his outreach.
