Who Can Apply?

The family of the applicant for PM Awas Yojana registration must not own a pucca house anywhere in India. Eligibility is decided based on income. EWS, LIG, and MIG income bands are prioritized in urban areas. SECC data is prioritized in rural areas. The family should not have availed any government housing benefit before.

Priority is given to those with kuccha houses or small homes in rural areas. Essential documents include Aadhaar, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and bank account details. Income certificates, ID, and address proof are also needed. Details like MGNREGA Job Card or SBM number may be asked in rural areas.

How to Apply?

Visit the PMAY-U portal for online applications. You will see a QR code on the home page. Scan it with your phone. A new page will open after this. Click on Apply for PMAY-U 2.0 from the options on the right side. A new page will open containing some terms and conditions. Read them and click on Click to Process below. You must complete the full process ahead and upload requested documents. Your application will be submitted successfully.

You can also apply offline by visiting the nearest CSC or PMAY-listed bank branch with a nominal fee.
